I think kid Link in OOT could fail to kill Ganondorf if he did not possess the Master Sword. The Master Sword was only given to that Link as an adult because the child version of him could not wield it. It HAS been released in Japan, officially, but there is no current news on whether there will be a translated version, or any release outside of Japan. I’ll keep everyone posted.
