Fuck Yeah Hyrule

Did you guys do anything Zelda related tonight? Perhaps a costume of sorts? If so let me know I’d love to hear about it!

Okay, the title here is self-explaining, so straight to business.

1: improved combat. after the creation of WW and TP, I was very shocked that Nintendo did not implement some form of special moves in OoT 3D. I feel that if they added more sidequests to add to the game it would have been better, show it is more than just the same game prettied up. so in MM, I would add either the hidden skills through more sidequests, but seeing as how MM is mostly sidequest, I would maybe instead use the counter system from WW. that, or actually give the swordsman an extra use where after beating certain points of the game he will teach you new skills similar to Minish Cap. perhaps even implement a new fighting system where you could use both the counters AND special skills from WW and TP. when a game is remade, I feel that they should do more than just upgrade the graphics, they should go the extra mile and upgrade the actual gameplay.

2: make the owl statue saves not quicksaves, but actual saves. pretty simple concept, instead of the game quicksaving, it does an actual save where you can leave, come back, and reset if things don’t go your way. I feel that would remove many complaints for people saying the game is too hard.

3: Multiple endings. this is the big one. I know that I was not the only person that felt cheated when Link finishes the game and does not reunite with Navi, which is what sets the game’s plot in motion in the first place. especailly since the game had so many sidequests, I thought getting 100% would get the “special ending” but it doesn’t. this is kinda a slap in the face to those that spent so much time on the game. yeah there is the Fierce Deity Mask for those that got the masks, but what about things like the heart pieces? I feel that having no extra bit at the end after all of the hard work getting all of them is a bit of a dick move. especially how now-a-days almost every game has an extra scene added if you got X amount of collectibles, which I guess makes us spoiled but I don’t care. Also, I would have a thing where depending on what sidequests you did on the last cycle where you beat the game would effect the scenes in the credits. because in the game, when you reset time, everything you did goes back to normal, and the people you helped still aren’t helped. meaning for example, if you didn’t save Romani in the last cycle when you beat the game the ranch would have a bad ending where the cows get abducted. same how if you don’t do the Anju quest Kafei and Anju wouldn’t get together. however, at the end, regardless of your actions they still have the wedding. this is what I mean by alternate ending clips. basically, do the Anju/Kafei quest when you beat the game? get that scene in the ending credits. let the music man rant to you when you got the brendan mask when you beat the game? an extra scene perhaps with him and his ole troop getting back together. free the postman? get an extra scene where you see him frolicking in the fields or something. stuff like that. little changes that would motivate the player to play the last cycle multiple times to see the different types of endings, and try to get what they would consider their personal “best ending”. also whether or not you beat the bosses again your last cycle would effect the endings too, where you could get a scene of the land restored, where if you don’t it could show the land still cursed but the giant of that area fixes it.

4: Closure with Lulu. as I said in an earlier post, I feel really bad for Lulu. mainly because her lover/father of her children is dead, but she does not know it. she still believes he is alive, so when Link suddenly leaves, so will “Mikau”, abandoning her to raise like 7 kids on her own. so I would like just a simple scene added perhaps after beating the water dungeon where she pulls you aside and tells you that she figured out you are not really Mikau and that she understands what happened to him (the he died part, not the he became a mask part). this would give closure to what I always thought was a really depressing part of the game few people thought about. this could also add to the multiple ending point where if you beat the water dungeon when you beat the game you get the scenes of the Zora’s having a funeral or something. but if you don’t do the closure with Lulu you could get a scene where she is searching for Mikau, wondering where he went.

these are the things I would add. if you got anymore, just add them to the list. stay valiant my friends.

I have posted a few spoilers in the past, but they were very nondescript and vague. But don’t worry, as we are super close to the release, I will be doing my best to keep your little eyes pure from nasty spoilers!

I almost watched it. I got 5 second into it then broke my trance and RAN LIKE HELL. 

Geez, they really are making it hard to stay pure with all of these spoilers aren’t they?

I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about. For those of you who don’t, you can find those leaks somewhere else online. NOT HERE. I haven’t looked at the leaks, or read anything about them. I refuse to do so because I want to shield my virgin eyes from the spoilers, with the exception of any official Nintendo trailers. Those rock. 

So my question is, how many of you out there are trying to avoid the spoilers? Or do you like them? Leave me an answer as a reply, I’m curious!

It just seemed like the right thing to do since he’s the only person I know in real life who loves MM as much as I do. 

I’m convinced. I think that you can customize your earring color. I’ve seen traditional blue, orange, and now red.
